Julie Kuhl (born in 2005 in Châtillon sur Seine, France) is a singer songwriter based in Frankfurt, Germany, whose musical career has been steadily gaining momentum in recent years both in Germany and internationally. In early 2024, California tastemaker Chris Douridas (KCRW, Los Angeles) reached out to Julie after hearing her music. Shortly thereafter, she met him and music manager Mike Dixon at a concert of hers in Cologne. Since then, the two have been mentoring and supporting her as she develops her international career, sending her and her brother to the United States for four weeks to work in Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York. Julie’s songs now play regularly on KCRW, which also drew the attention of renowned producer Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, Adele, Kanye West, among others). In early 2025, Julie performed at the Cologne Philharmonie opening for Jamie Cullum–a performance so successful that it led to supporting his whole Germany tour in Dresden, Gelsenkirchen, Munich (Tollwood Festival) and Hamburg.
