Jacob Cummings is a Los Angeles-based musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for blending indie folk with experimental, cinematic production.
Originally from Florida, Cummings relocated to Los Angeles in 2018 and has since built a career as both a solo artist and an in-demand collaborator. He has toured nationally with The Undercover Dream Lovers and Corey Kilgannon, and has contributed to recordings by Laney Tripp, Michael Nau, Benny Yurco, and Floating Action. In addition to alto saxophone, he plays flute, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, keyboards, and synthesizers, and operates Susan Studio in Los Angeles, where he offers production, mixing, and session work spanning chill, cinematic, folk, indie pop, and rock styles.
Cummings released two instrumental albums, Slow Paradise and Fishing for Heaven, before stepping into vocal work for the first time with Southern & Enlightened, his debut vocal album released independently.
Also active as a filmmaker, Cummings created a short film to accompany Southern & Enlightened, extending the album's storytelling into a visual medium. He continues to record and produce from his Los Angeles home studio while freelancing as a producer for other artists.
